In light of the circumstances of the band's "reuniting," I take the gloves off and say:
FUCK PINK FLOYD.
FUCK ROGER WATERS.
FUCK DAVID GILMOUR.
FUCK NICK MASON.
FUCK THE LOT OF THEM AND EVERYONE WHO SYMPATHIZES WITH THIS 'CAUSE.'
For those people who once said that Roger 'Dirty' Waters is revered by many music fans who don't necessarily know about his animus to Israel, I think the 'wall' of obscurity has been 'torn down' now for all to see. And those who have been looking away from this bit of unpleasantness because they love the music now have to confront it and deal with it. Do you love them enough to keep ignoring it? Or do you love them enough to start sympathizing? They have shown what side they are on; now it's time to choose yours.
On a personal note, as this relates to my own creative endeavors ... if you listen to the album I put out in 2007, Soul In Exile 2: Jersey Shore Baby, you'll hear a lot of Floyd influence in the production. If you listen to its sequel, i.e., the album that will be coming out soon, you'll notice the absolute lack of Floydian gimmickry in contrast. What happened between then and now? ... all of this.
