47 years on the work force, slaving away for someone else

Maybe the money comes in, but I want the time for myself

I gotta earn my bread by the sweat of my brow

But I don’t want to wait till 65—I want to live my life now.

And have to deal with all the infighting.

Don’t want to go through life doing something I hate

I want to do what I like, not fall back on some second rate

Jobs that are only there to help me pay my bills

And make very little use of my talents and skills.

Conforming to the work world, always doing what I’m asked
