Daily Lyric: WHEN ARE YOU GONNA COME DOWN

You sitting up there in your ivory tower

How you gonna know that it’s your final hour

When are, when are you gonna come down

You go on like the old pie in the sky

How you gonna look your people straight in the eye

When are, when are you gonna come down

What you gonna do when they get their hands on the nukes

How you gonna know you’ll ever be safe from their spooks

Where are, where are you gonna run

What you gonna do when they come for you

What you gonna do when they call you dirty Jew

Where are, where are you gonna run

The devil’s knocking on your front door

There’s no shelter, no safe house, no asylum anymore

Hey baby, when are you gonna come down

You’re telling yourself everything’s gonna be all right

Well baby, they’re coming for you tonight

When are, when are you gonna come down

You tell everyone it can’t happen here

Everybody remain calm, there’s nothing to fear

When are, when are you gonna come down

Just be good citizens and our country won’t fail

We’re part of it all, the constitution will prevail

When are, when are you gonna come down

You choose to sweep it all under the rug

Next time you look it’ll be your own grave you dug

When are, when are you ever gonna learn

They did it once, they’re gonna do it again

A perpetual cycle with no foreseeable end

When are, when are you ever gonna learn

The time is long past when this was all the fringe

Now the cancer’s taken root as the system comes unhinged

When are, when are you gonna come down

And you to my right, who says it makes you wanna laugh

You say you fear nothing from this mere riffraff

When are, when are you gonna come down

Did you ever read that “diary” in which their desires lay

It makes “My Struggle” look like mere child’s play

When are, when are you gonna come down

And that holy book from the desert sands

Read very closely what it really demands

When are, when are you gonna come down

A third-world country run by third-rate kooks

Just you wait till they get their hands on the nukes

What are, what are you gonna do then

They say we deserve to be wiped off the map

The world looks away and we’re caught in a trap

What are, what are you gonna do then

The ones who talk peace with tongues of silk

The ones with the bombs are of the same ilk

When are, when are you ever going to learn

If you think they’ve renounced their ways of terror

Will it be too late when you’ve realized your error

When are, when are you ever going to learn

And if you think the ones here are not the ones there

You rely on promises supported by thin air

When are, when are you gonna come down

They’re united against us, united in hate

Better do something about it before it’s too late

When are, when are you gonna come down

When are, when are you gonna come down

You sitting up there in your ivory tower, how you gonna know that it’s your final hour?

I originally posted this on the day that Islamic suicide terrorists struck Brussels, Belgium. I wrote it, however, back in the days when the worst threats to the USA seemed to come from domestic terrorists of the ilk that struck Oklahoma City, although Iran under the ayatollahs is implied in the fifth verse. The rest of the song, though, addresses apathetic, politically correct, and/or morally equivocating attitudes toward the threat toward free societies, regardless of whether the threat emanates from readers of The Turner Diaries or the Koran. If people will not come down from their high-and-mighty positions, the threat will consume us all. Wake up, good people of the world.
